The Baking Chin Ep. 22: "No Bake Ambrosia Pie!"
Measurements in Description! I'm back this week! I apologize for not being here for a week or so. I was busy with university graduation and such. But I'm back with a no bake recipe for Ambrosia Pie -- a fun, tasty throwback sort of recipe. It's everything you would want in an ambrosia salad, but in a buttery pastry crust. Try this out! It's fast and easy to prepare ahead of time! I used canned fruit, but feel free to use fresh fruit and etc. :D METRIC 227g Cream Cheese 40g Lemon Juice 5g Vanilla Extract 200g Icing/Powder Sugar 250g Cream (Whipped) 8g/1 packet Gelatin (dissolved in 50g boiling water) 80g Shredded Coconut 100g Marshmallows 247g Mandarin Oranges (2 large cans, drained) 1 Pre-baked Pie Crust EMPIRICAL 8 oz Packet Cream Cheese 3 large tbsp Lemon Juice 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 cup Icing/Powder Sugar 1 cup Cream (Whipped) 1 packet Gelatin (dissolved in 4tbsp boiling water) 1 cup Shredded Coconut 1 cup Marshmallows 2 large cans, drained Mandarin Oranges 1 Pre-baked Pie Crust DECORATIONS/GARNISH Pineapple Extra Shredded Coconut Whipped Cream (Enough to Cover the Top) Maraschino Cherries Nuts NOTE: If you don't want to do an Ambrosia Pie, just use the base ingredients and change the fruits. Raspberries, fresh Cherries, Chopped Strawberries, etc., are all wonderful, tasty choices. This is recipe can be what you make it! Happy Baking!
